Good overnight motor sail from Ft Lauderdale. About 30 more miles to Marathon. Came inside to Hawks Channel near Molasis Reef. The Gulf stream was just killing us as it was only about a mile South east of the reef. Was being pounded by waves and opposing current. Decided that the best route to the keys is the channel, but going back is obviously the Gulf Stream. Should be in Marsthon ny mid afternoon as we are back up to about 5,5 to 6 kts now. Looking forward to a nice hot shower.
